Your stay
Sometimes the extraordinary is just a river away. In Grub an der March, the oldest wine village in Central Europe, Verena Küssler runs a winery that makes history tangible - without sacrificing comfort. Surrounded by vineyards and just a stone's throw from the March-Thaya-Auen nature reserve, there are twelve unique wine barrel suites, as well as two wine barrel chalets with their own vaulted cellar. Those looking for more space can stay in the Weinviertel vacation home with five rooms, four bathrooms and a secluded courtyard. The offer is complemented by comfortable rooms, a spacious winegrower's garden and a breakfast area with terrace.
The Winzerhof offers more than just accommodation. On six evenings a week, Verena Küssler invites guests to a winegrower's evening - including a tour of the winery, tasting in the 300-year-old vaulted cellar, wine tavern delicacies and pastries. Those who want to take it easy can relax in a red wine bath. Cycling and hiking trails lead through the meadows, to the wine cellar lanes or to cultural sites such as Hof Castle or Marchegg. The region can also be explored by canoe - the March is just one kilometer away. The Hof combines wine, landscape and hospitality - open to couples, families, groups or business travelers looking for a little serenity.
