Schulfreiraum VS Gänserndorf
Children’s playgroundDescription
The largest elementary school of its kind in Lower Austria, VS and ASO Gänserndorf, now has a school playground that is designed to meet the needs of the children and is partially barrier-free. Around 500 children spend their break or afternoon here every day.
the afternoon. The existing soccer pitch, beach volleyball court and fun park have been supplemented by a new exercise and learning area. The green classroom, which consists of a two-tiered seating arena and a wooden platform, can now also be used for outdoor lessons and recess. The children can find an exciting climbing course on a high hill, which they can slide down again on a long curved slide. A swinging rope apparatus, bouncy boards, a large balancing course and a tree-trunk mikado demand skill and movement competence. A shaded sand play area and a double swing have been set up for younger children. Two drinking fountains provide refreshment in between and make spending time in the school playground even more attractive. A special feature is the wide slide, which can be reached via a barrier-free ramp - either to push up or pull yourself up - and which goes gently downhill. This means that every need is catered for. The outdoor school area is open to the public.
