Sandberge Oberweiden
A good half hour's walk further south of the municipality is the Sandberge Oberweiden nature reserve, a unique natural occurrence in Austria. Sand fields were created by the erosion of gravel and sand banks from the surrounding waters, above all the Danube. The resulting remarkable sand flora provides a habitat for a rich diversity of species and a beautiful backdrop for visitors.
