Engelhartstetten
Up-and-coming market town, which gained international fame through the power plant debate surrounding the Danube floodplains (Stopfenreuther Au). This discussion came to a happy end on October 27, 1996 with the founding of the Donau-Auen National Park, so that Engelhartstetten now presents itself as a national park community. But not only the Danube floodplains with their tropical flora and rare bird species, but also the two baroque castles Hof (once the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy) and Niederweiden (once Prince Eugene's hunting lodge) are among the absolute "must-see" stops for every visitor. The new cycle bridge between Schloßhof and Devinska Nova Ves (SK) was opened in September 2012.
