Weikendorf

Weikendorf in the district of Gänserndorf is a Weinviertel market town that enchants its guests with its charming cellar square and several listed buildings. The village is also considered to be tradition-conscious and sporty. In addition to a tennis court, there are two soccer clubs and a riding club.

The parish church of St. Koloman is an impressive former fortified church. The vicarage was built between 1716 and 1721 by Jakob Prandtauer, who was also responsible for the baroqueization of the church.

Other eye-catchers worth seeing include a historic town house, the magnificent Holy Trinity Column, the granary of a 17th century Baroque farmstead and several pretty statues.
