Haringsee

With its two cadastral communities of Fuchsenbigl and Straudorf, Haringsee is located 20 km from Vienna - in the middle of the fertile fields of the Marchfeld.

The parish church in Haringsee is a fortified church and is dedicated to St. Laurentius. A red "plague cross" outside the village of Haringsee commemorates the end of the plague. Thanks to its proximity to Slovakia, nothing stands in the way of an excursion to our neighbors.

Nature lovers can enjoy hiking and walking. The Marchfeld Canal cycle path leaves the Marchfeld Canal in the municipality of Haringsee due to the bustard protection area and leads cyclists through the villages of Haringsee and Fuchsenbigl. The many festivities such as Kirtag, fire department wine taverns, midsummer celebrations and much more are always very well attended.
